At the store

I was at the shoe store yesterday with my brother. The sales lady said  MISS if you need any help just ask. OMG that made me feel so good

I love it when I get that too. I was with my friend at K-Mart the other day and the elderly woman said "Have a good day LADIES." It made me so giddy. hehe

its always a great feeling smile

Tho i often find when i make an effort to 'pass' i get 'miss'ed less than if i make less effort. Before christmas me and my gf went into manchester (UK) for some shopping - unfortunatly i had electro the day after so tho i was wearing girls clothing (jeans, jacket, top and trainers) i had a days worth of 'gruff' only for us both to be called 'ladies' for most of the day (or usually till someone realised my gruff leading to much confusion lol)

Awesome. It is good when you pass. I oftern wonder though is it people see us making the effort and realise we want to be addressed like that or they are on auto pilit and see all the cues for what they would consider female?

I was at a Wet Seal today shopping with my friend and not only was I able to try on clothes in the fittings room (it's a strictly feminine store) but I actually had one lady approach me later because she thought I worked there (a store that hires only women) and here words were "Oh you look so nice I figured you must work here." big_smile

hmm good point, I think it might be a combination of how people see us making an effort, and yet at the same time trying find out female similarities.
